I’m Ulumma Joseph, LCSW, a licensed Therapist based in Los Angeles - here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I truly care about my clients’ well-being and guarantee top of the line therapy and psychological services catered to their needs.
I grew up in Inglewood, CA as the youngest of four children to a single mother. I was fortunate after high school to attend UCLA for undergraduate where I received my BA in Psychology and minor in Public Policy. I took sometime off and worked as a career manager for Los Angeles, Job Corps providing educational and career guidance to transitional age youth between the ages of 16-24. I then decided to extend my education and get some experience living out of state. I attended NYU where I received my Masters in Social Work in 2005. While in New York, I had the privilege of working at Brooklyn's Domestic Violence homeless women's shelter. This experience continues to frame who I am as a social worker and I decided to return to Los Angeles, afterwards where I spent two years working for a nonprofit mental health agency for children and families. Since 2000, I have provided a number of specialized therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences. Patient well-being is my number one priority, and I go above and beyond to help them through all their obstacles. Get in touch with me today for more information.
